Girl Scouts to hold program to commemorate new ‘Building Future Leaders’ billboard at Erlanger site

On Saturday, October 12th Girl Scouts of Kentucky’s Wilderness Road Council will host a Girl Scout program to commemorate the addition of the new Girl Scouts Building Future Leaders billboard that will be installed on the Girl Scout property at 607 Watson Road in Erlanger.

This new billboard will replace the current sign that is visible from I-75.
In conjunction with the arrival of the billboard, there will be a Girl Scout patch program held on the Watson Road property.

Two local Erlanger businesses, Furlong Building and Viox & Viox Inc. are sponsoring the patch program.

The girls will have an educational experience learning about construction while building a birdhouse.

Girl Scouts will also learn about being an arborist while discovering native Kentucky plants and planting trees with assistance from the Boone County Arboretum.

The girls will also have the opportunity to meet the Mayor of Erlanger, Jessica Fette.

The program will begin at 10 a.m. and conclude at approximately 12:30 p.m. The cost for each girl is $5.
