Practice underway for Children’s Law Center Dancing with Stars; ‘StrikeaPose’ contest coming up

Practice, practice, practice is underway full force for the annual and much-anticipated Children’s Law Center’s Dancing with the Stars.

And this year, there’s a special social media promotion for active engagement for supporters as well.

The event itself will be held Thursday, May 26 from 6-9:30 p.m. at Receptions in Erlanger benefiting the nonprofit, which serves Greater Cincinnati’s disadvantaged and vulnerable youth, providing legal services and advocacy for children in the legal system.

Celebrity dancers this year are Attorney Jennifer Kinsley, Toyota’s Elizabeth Knight, Leadership Northern Kentucky’s Leisa Mulcahy, Cincinnati Refined managing editor Leah Zipperstein, engineer Joe Bayer of Turner Construction, C-Forward President Brent Cooper, Jamie Ramsey, partner at Calfee, Halter & Griswold, and Thomas More President David Armstrong. A new twist this year is a social media promotion beginning March 28, for CLC’s followers and friends on Facebook and Twitter to “strike a pose” and win prizes — including tickets to the big Dancing with the Stars show.

In order to win, participants must post a dance post photo to the Children’s Law Center Facebook page or tag @CLCDancing on Twitter and use hashtag, #CLCDancing2016.

Randomly selected winners will be named every Monday beginning March 28th through May 2nd. Grand prize is provided by Cooper’s Hawk winery and restaurant: a Magnum bottle of Meritage wine, a 3-month complimentary Wine Club membership and a complimentary Wine Tasting for Two card.

Other prizes include but are not limited to:

* $15 Dewey’s Pizza Certificate
* 2 Esquire Movie Theatre movie tickets
* 4 Esquire Movie Theatre “buy one get one” coupons
* $20 Eli’s BBQ Certificate
* Two tickets to Dancing with the CLC Stars 2016
* 3 Cooper’s Hawk Wine Packages.

For the event, general admission tickets are $50; priority Seating tickets are $100; tables of ten are $1,000 and sponsorships are available from $250 to $5,000. Tickets, tables, sponsorships and votes for your favorite dancer are available online at the CLC website.

Last year CLC raised over $85,000 and this year, with the addition of social media #strikeapose promotion, the goal is $100,000.
