Ridesharing company Lyft begins operations at CVG, gives passengers new transportation options

The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport strives to enhance the customer service experience. Lyft, a transportation network company, is now operating at CVG. Lyft’s mobile-phone application facilitates peer-to-peer ridesharing by connecting passengers who need a ride with drivers who have a car.

“People in Cincinnati have embraced Lyft as an affordable, convenient way to get around their city and we’re excited to be the first ridesharing partner of Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport,” said Bakari Brock, Lyft’s director of business development. “We’d like to thank Lisa Ransom, Kim Collins, Paul Wischer and all the CVG staff for welcoming modern options like Lyft to the airport.”

“We strive to be innovative,” said Wm. T. (Bill) Robinson III, Kenton County Airport Board Chairman. “CVG is the first airport in Ohio and Kentucky to have an operating agreement with Lyft.”

Passengers using the Lyft app on their smartphone will request a ride. Once the driver and passenger are paired, the driver will pick up their passenger at the far west end of passenger pick-up. This area will be marked with overhead signage.
