Open letter: Today is deadline for NKyTribune’s reader-supported campaign to double your $$

Readers and friends,

Midnight tonight is the deadline to take advantage of doubling your support of The NKyTribune through our special NewsMatch campaign to grow reader-funded support for your nonprofit public service newspaper. Contribute now through the link below — or date your check by December 31 and drop it in the mail to NKyTribune, 644 Braddock Ct., Edgewood, Ky 41017. Check must be dated on or by December 31 to count. Details are here:

The Northern Kentucky Tribune gives you a generous gift every day of the year — the gift of a true, honest community newspaper, just as its founders promised to do nearly eight years ago.

True to that promise, the Northern Kentucky Tribune team, continues to provide free access to free news and features, free obituaries, free news about your local nonprofits, local governments, local schools, and local businesses, free local history, free features about your neighbors, free news about state government and big news from around the state from an impressive network of partners; free commentary of all kinds, much of it from experts you know. . .and more.

Our dedicated team is growing: Jacob Clabes, vice president of everything; Terry Boehmker, sports reporter; Jack Brammer, state reporter; Trisha Scheyer, local reporter; Ryan Clark, Covington Commission reporter; Dan Weber, sports reporter; Bill Straub, Washington columnist; Al Cross, state columnist; Constance Alexander, regional columnist; Steve Flairty, human interest columnist; Keven Moore, state “riskologist”; Jonathan Coffman, obituaries; Don Sanders, Our River columnist; Matt McAdow, Reds and Bengals columnist; Paul Tenkotte and Ray Hebert, history columnists — and a growing number of freelancers of all kinds

These folks know your community and understand it — and, like our legendary founders, aim to give back every single day.

As we enter our eighth year, we’re doubling down. And, between now and the end of 2022, we are asking you to double-down too.

Every voluntary contribution you make will be doubled by our national NewsMatch funders — and it will say that you value your local, independent nonprofit news source, and want to build a strong base of support that will carry the NKyTribune into the future.

Thanks to all who have already generously supported this cause. If you haven’t yet, there is still time.

Click the image below to give electronically (it’s secure) or send your check to The NKyTribune, 644 Braddock Court, Edgewood, Ky. 41017

Happy New Year — and happy reading.
