NKYEC is partnering with United Way Greater Cincinnati/NKY to collect hygiene items for students within 11 school districts across Northern Kentucky.

Kids want to look good and feel good every day at school and many local schools are in need of hygiene kits to help kids living in poverty achieve that goal. Good hygiene is an important part of a young teen’s health, wellness, and self-esteem, and kids with poor hygiene can face harmful consequences.

We hope you will consider supporting this effort by bringing items from the following list to the meeting on Oct. 15. The hygiene kits include the following full-size items (and are gender appropriate):
• Toothbrush & Toothpaste
• Shampoo & Conditioner
• Soap
• Deodorant (M/F varieties)
• Hand Sanitizer
• Body Lotion
• Comb (M), Brush (F)
• Wash Cloth (M) or Sponge Puff (F)
• Maxi Pads (F)

If you are unable to attend the meeting, but would like to donate, please drop items off at the Council’s office, 7310 Turfway Road, Suite 115, Florence, KY (inside Central Bank).
