KCPL: Covington branch offers lunch, free program for students; students volunteer at Erlanger

Covington has delayed the start of school, so the Covington Branch of the Kenton County Library will be offering Lunch @ The Library from today through August 30th from 12:30-1 p.m.

Lunches are free for children and teens under 18 and will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

The lunches are provided in partnership with UMC Food Ministry.

Middle, high school volunteers at Erlanger branch

Some 15 middle and high school students volunteered at the administration building in Erlanger last week to stuff bags with a book, pencil, bookmark and library information for 3000 entering kindergartners.

The kids are funded by the Kenton County Public Library Foundation.

“We truly appreciate that these kids gave up one of the last days of their summer break to make sure every kindergartner has a new book and other items at the start of the school year,” said the library’s Gina Stegner.
