For 16th year, Colonel Clay Lodge to place flags on graves of veterans at Linden Grove Cemetery

On Saturday, May 25th, the Colonel Clay Masonic Lodge #159 in Covington will organize various local Cub Scout & Boy Scout groups and the Holmes HS JROTC to decorate the graves of over 400 veterans that are interred at Historic Linden Grove Cemetery & Arboretum with American Flags.

They will assemble at about 8:30 a.m., receive instruction, have a flag-raising ceremony, and go forth decorating the graves.

This will be the 16th year the Colonel Clay Lodge has placed the flags on the graves of veterans to represent the thanks of a grateful nation and a mark of respect.

The veterans’ graves date back to the War of 1812.
