It’s the first ‘First Friday’ of the season in Bellevue and Fairfield Avenue will be springing with activities

Friday morning’s April showers will bring May flowers and a rain-free, beautiful Friday evening. Winter has finally given way to spring, with Easter, Arbor Day, and Earth Day just around the corner.

Word on Fairfield Avenue in Bellvue is the Easter Bunny will be making a First Friday appearance with his sidekick Mr. Carrot, anxious to have his picture taken and bestow you with Easter basket treats.

There’s more:

• A welcome to Fairfield Avenue’s newest business, Kentucky Botanicals Co., to the neighborhood.

Kentucky Botanical Co. is owned and operated by husband and wife team, Chad and Christain Watt. Specializing in essential and infused oils, CBD, and other natural, wellness based products, they are interested in plant-based self-care that was born when Christain’s mother was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2015. A portion of all proceeds will go to benefit brain cancer research and families affected by brain cancer. For the month of April, they will be supporting the Miracle Foundation.

• Petri’s Florals & Boutique’s plant sale and DIY Seed Bomb Bar.

• Gathered Gallery’s First Friday pop-up show, “Playlist.”

• Umbrellas that won’t drip on you at The Cozy Cottage. Buy one umbrella, get one 25% off. Lots of styles to choose from.

• Signs of more upcoming businesses, including: Three Spirits Tavern, the return of SB Comp, Black Tie Boudoir, and The Fairfield Market.

First Friday will be a delightful evening of shopping and dining in Bellevue’s charming historic district.

Enjoy the end of the week and the beginning of spring.
