Colonel De Gourmet Herbs and Spices launches state-of-the-art website, family tradition continues

Colonel De, an innovator of gourmet blends and spices, has launched a state-of-the-art website to accommodate all of those looking to add a little spice to meals prepared for family and friends.

This new website features an innovative e-commerce tool known as the Price Slider.

The Price Slider technology allows customers to order as little or as much as they like of Colonel’s blends.

Family Tradition is carried on

It all started with a cooking segment on a local Northern Kentucky cable show in 2003. De Stewart, known as “the Businessman Chef” wanted to show how spices and herbs could change the flavor of common foods. Initially, De and his wife, Susan Stewart, with two card tables and 15 products, began selling custom blends at local farmers’ markets. Sixteen years later and hundreds of blends, sauces and gourmet spice, Colonel De is the leading spice purveyor in town. 

De Stewart’s daughte-in-law and son Christi and Ashley Stewart will carry on the tradition at Colonel De Gourmet Herbs and Spices

In October 2018, Colonel De Stewart passed away suddenly. He may be gone but will never be forgotten in many hearts. 

Transitioning into the leadership roles are Colonel’s son and longtime employee Ashley Stewart and his wife Christi. 

Colonel De Gourmet Herbs & Spices has stores in Historic Findlay Market, Jungle Jim’s at Eastgate, and its World Headquarters, teaching and Production Kitchen located in Ft. Thomas.

In May 2018 Colonel De opened his first farm to table restaurant appropriately named Colonel’s Kitchen. Breakfast and lunch are served Tuesday-Friday 7a-2:30p and now dinner is being served Fridays and Saturdays 5p-9p.

Next up is in the Historic area of Louisville, Kentucky for Colonel De where the company will open up its fourth retail location in Logan’s Street Market.
