Rainbow Child Care Centers joins with Steinford Toy Foundation for drive, collects $5k worth of toys

Rainbow Child Care Centers across Northern Kentucky participated in a toy drive with the Steinford Toy Foundation for the 9th consecutive year.

The new and gently used toys from all of Rainbow’s centers across Northern Kentucky were dropped off at the Taylor Mill location where more than $5,000 worth of toys were collected, all of which will be going to local families in the area who are in need of a little extra support this holiday season.

Children at Rainbow’s Taylor Mill location made Christmas cards for the families who will receive these toys.

“We know that many families in our community face financial challenges during this time of year, but we hope that the participation of all our Rainbow centers in the area will help to brighten the season for those who need it,” said Danielle Corbin, regional manager for Rainbow.

“We’re grateful for the support our families demonstrate for this toy drive each year. Their generosity never ceases to amaze me.”

This is the ninth consecutive year that Rainbow has partnered with the Steinford Toy Foundation.

While the holiday season brings joy to many families, it also brings heartache to those who cannot afford presents for their children.

“We are incredibly grateful for our continued partnership with Rainbow Child Care Center,” said Tom Wiechman, President of Steinford Toy Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to collecting and delivering Christmas toys to underprivileged families.

“Partnerships such as this help us accomplish our goals of serving thousands of children in need each year, and we appreciate the willingness of the Rainbow Child Care staff and generous families to support us in our toy collection efforts for another year.”

Rainbow Child Care Center encourages other organizations and community members to join them in this year’s toy drive.
