Campbell County Public Library offers activities for adults, children at all branches in September


The Campbell County Public Library operates four branches. The Cold Spring Branch is located at 3920 Alexandria Pike in Cold Spring, phone 859-781-6166. The Carrico/Fort Thomas Branch is located at 1000 Highland Ave. in Fort Thomas, phone 859-572-5033. The Newport Branch is located at 901 E. Sixth St. in Newport, phone 859-572-5035. The Alexandria Branch is located at 8830 Alexandria Pike in Alexandria, phone 859-572-7463.

There are two Express locations for pickups and returns in Silver Grove and Melbourne.

Hours for Cold Spring, Carrico/Fort Thomas and Newport branches are 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday; 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday; and 1-5 p.m. Sunday. Hours for Alexandria are 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday-Friday; 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday; and closed Sunday and Monday. For more information, click here.

Brighton Center: Center for Employment Training

Learn about the Brighton Center’s Center for Employment Training, which trains job seekers for in-demand jobs. Courses focus in the areas of medical assisting, health technology administration and business & computer technologies with instruction and hands-on experience that combine technical skills with basic skills and employment placement services. The goal of the training is to be completed at the trainees’ own pace but typically within a year and offers financial aid so that training may be completed without the pressures of student loan debt. The Cincinnati Museum Center team will teach about forensics. We will analyze human skull replicas to determine the gender and ethnicity of a fictional victim. Please join the University of Kentucky’s Nutrition Education Program for our free nutrition and cooking workshop this fall. We will review the benefits of eating balanced meals and food budgeting. YART: The Yard Art Sale

Dozens of local artists, crafters and students sell their own original creations at YART: The Art Yard Sale. Among our vendors, we will be showing ceramics, jewelry, illustrations, textiles, and many other mediums. On top of that, everything is sold for $30 or less. There will be food vendors stationed in the parking lot offering lunch and sweet options to all our hungry shoppers. The event coincides with the Friends of the Library Book Sale. All ages.
