Bellevue will be at its best on Saturday, September 8, for the 18th annual Art in the Park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

It’s when the Bellevue Beach park is transformed into an art event that will appeal to all of your senses. It’s a truly delightful community event that brings together more than eight artists and craftspeople from all over the region and beyond.

The Culinary Arts Cafe has items from Fairfield Avenue restaurants, and two food trucks, two breweries and one winery are part of the mix. Plus, there’s music, yarn bombing by For Lula Girl, and art projects for kids, including a reading hour presented by the Campbell County Public Library all in a beautiful park setting.

The Art in the Park Silent Auction is located at The Ampersand Gallery located at 408 Fairfield Avenue and will be featured for In Vue’s First Friday on September 7. From there it moves to the beach park where it will close at the end of Art in the Park.

Creativity is important in childhood development and the auction benefits the art programs at the Bellevue schools. It is made possible through the generosity of Art in the Park artisans.

Two independent judges will evaluate the work of each artist, and $1,245 in cash prizes is awarded for outstanding work in both Fine Art and Fine Craft categories. Additionally, attendees vote for the People’s Choice Award.

The event also provides an opportunity to spend the entire day in Bellevue to take in the independent businesses along historic Fairfield Avenue and stay for the City of Bellevue’s Concert in the Park, Trailer Park Floosies, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

This event is made possible through the generosity of The Party Source, Brandicorp, In Vue, the City of Bellevue and volunteers.
