Kenton County Family Court
I am seeking the position of Kenton County family court judge because both my passion and my expertise are in Kenton County family court. For over 3 decades, I have worked diligently on child protection law cases in Kenton County collaborating with social workers and other community partners to achieve positive results for families in need of services. I have represented both fathers and mothers in every type of family law case. The family court has tremendous responsibility and power. In addition to child protection cases, the family court decides termination of parental rights, child custody, and adoption. A family court judge makes critical decisions, and with this power comes the opportunity to positively affect lives through fair and insightful rulings. I am seeking this Office because I have dedicated myself to helping families in Kenton County and I believe this is the natural extension of my life’s work.
Terri King Schoborg
I am a lifetime resident of Kenton County. I graduated from Villa Madonna Academy, Georgetown College and Salmon P Chase College of law. I have practiced law for 33 years maintaining a law practice with my brother, Phillip E. King since 1985. Over the years, I practiced law in the area of criminal defense, family law, and personal injury law. I have extensive trial experience. I was designated Chairwoman Emeritus of the Kentucky Personnel Board and have presided over many hearings in Frankfort as a hearing officer and member of that Board. I am licensed to practice law in Kentucky, Ohio and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky.
I currently focus my practice in child protective law. I served as a panel member and chairperson Of the Kenton County Guardian ad litem and appointed counsel committee beginning in 1988. As a panel member, I contributed to the drafting of Local Rules governing the appointment of Counsel and Guardian ad litems for dependency abuse and neglect proceedings.
I have been married to Jeffrey Schoborg for 26 years and have raised three children. Alex, age 18, is a senior at Covington Catholic High School. Ben, age 20, attends the University of Louisville where he is earning a degree in mechanical engineering. Cassie, age 23, a graduate of Notre Dame Academy and Hanover College, currently attends University of Cincinnati College of Medicine where she is studying to be a physician.
My legal and my life experiences make me the best choice for family court judge. Child protection cases encompass the most important work of the family court. Over 3 decades I have represented either a parent or a child in an estimated 7500 family law cases. The majority of these cases were by court appointment from at least 10 different judges.
I have 5 years’ experience acting in a judicial capacity. During my tenure as a hearing officer for the Kentucky Personnel Board, I conducted evidentiary hearings and issued recommended findings of fact and conclusions of law and orders in cases concerning state merit system employees. I am dedicated to the Kenton County community.
By judicial appointment, I served as a member and chairperson of the Kenton County Foster Care Review Board for 7 years. I have always served in leadership positions at my church and I currently and have for the past 31 years taught Sunday School to children.
I understand the commitment it takes to raise successful children.

Boone County Commissioner
It has been a high honor to serve as Boone County Commissioner and I ask for the vote, in the May 22nd Republican primary to continue as their voice in the courthouse.
My husband, Bob, and I have raised our sons and operated our business in Hebron for more than 40 years.
My father was a doctor in this community and my brother served for many years on the Florence City Council. Serving others is something that has been an important part of my life.

You see, I did not just wake up one morning and decide to run for office. I was active in the PTA, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Hebron Lions, Northern KY Right to Life, and Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
I have also worked tirelessly to elect Republicans even before being a Republican was popular in Boone County. I have worked for a number of conservative candidates including Senator Rand Paul, Congressman Thomas Massie, and my dear friend former Senator Jim Bunning when he ran for Congress.
In 1998, after years of grassroots work to build a strong GOP in
Boone County I answered the call of family and friends to run for County
Commissioner and was fortunate to become the first Republican woman to hold county-wide office in the history of the county.
Throughout my time on the court, I have been a consistent voice for conservative principles.
• I actively supported state legislation to require the Judges executive and Sanitation District #1 to bring any rate increase greater than 5% to the Fiscal Court for approval. After several years of increases greater than 10% the demand for new money decreased to the 5% level so as to avoid requiring a fiscal court vote. The 15-17% increase have stopped!
• I will always remain strong in my commitment to the lives of the unborn. I am endorsed by Northern Kentucky Right to Life.
• I have fought vigorously against expanded land use regulations that would have in effect imposed homeowner association type regulations on every homeowner in the county.
• I have opposed, again — often alone — zone changes allowing for the
development of land in areas where the roads and other infrastructure are inadequate.
Don’t get me wrong, I want this county to grow, but I do not want to needlessly burden current residents because proper infrastructure planning has not been implemented or when the new development has the potential to negatively impact the property values of surrounding homes. In spite of my stand on development issues, or perhaps because of my principled actions, the Northern KY Homebuilders political action council have endorsed my candidacy.
There is an old adage, “the best measure of what someone will do is to look at what they have done.” When you look at my record you will see that I have been faithful to the promises I have made in the past. I can assure you in the coming term, nothing will change my core principles.
I am not asking you for money or sign locations. I am asking for the greatest gift you can give someone in a Democracy – I ask asking for your vote.
When I took office I raised my hand and swore an oath to my job in accordance with the state and federal constitution. Today as I seek your support, I pledge to you that those documents coupled with my strong faith in God will continue to guide my decisions as your voice on the court.
As I crisscross the county, I am proud to have served this county for several years, making decisions based solely on what I believe to be right, always unbossed, unbought, and unafraid to do the right thing!

Boone County Circuit Court Clerk
It has been the honor of a lifetime to serve as your Circuit Court Clerk. I am running for re-election and would like to take this opportunity to explain why I am asking for your support.
I started working in the Circuit Clerk’s office as a deputy clerk, learning all aspect of the clerk’s office and the judicial system. I later earned the position of chief deputy clerk under the former Circuit Court Clerk and was elected to lead the office 11 years ago. This has never been just a job to me; it is and has always been an opportunity to provide a genuine service to all people across Boone County. Circuit Court Clerks play a key role in the administration of justice. We manage and maintain the official court records, receive money due to courts, maintain the jury system, issue driver licenses, and non-driver ID cards. We work very closely with judges, law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, attorneys and the public.

Since taking office in 2007, the circuit clerk’s office has made significant progress in the use of technology. I have been a strong advocate for use of advanced technologies in the courtrooms and the Boone Circuit Clerk’s office, which has increased efficiency in all areas of the court system. The Boone County Circuit Clerk’s office was the first office throughout the state to pilot and roll out the court’s electronic case filing system, allowing attorneys to file court documents electronically, day or night, making the system more efficient, cost-effective and better able to meet the needs of our citizens. Since inception, over 39,000 documents and cases have been processed through the e-filing program We are not done yet; when fully implemented, the public will be able to examine open records on pending cases. Other electronic programs include a new restitution-tracking system for victims and electronic emergency protective orders for domestic violence cases notifying law enforcement agencies statewide.
In 2013, I was elected by my peers to serve as president of the Kentucky Association of Circuit Court Clerks KACCC. Prior to being elected as president, I served as 2nd vice president, 1st vice president, chaired the Education Committee, co-chaired the Legislation Committee and served on the board of directors for the Trust for Life, which is a program to save lives through organ donation. Serving on these committees has afforded my office the opportunity to serve as a pilot project for new programs being explored on a state-wide basis.
Because of my strong background, I was appointed in 2016 and 2017 by the Chief Justice of Kentucky’s Supreme Court to serve as special clerk for high conflict cases across the Commonwealth. I am the only Circuit Clerk in the state to be appointed as special clerk in more than one county and on several cases.
I am a lifelong resident of Boone County. I am married to Len Murray and have two children, Renee Saner and Ryan Prindle and three grandchildren, Robert, Kaela, and Annabelle. My husband and I attend First Church of Christ in Burlington, Ky. We both have been active members of our community and in the extracurricular activities of our grandchildren.
I have been a dedicated public servant and committed to the citizens of Boone County and the Office of the Circuit Court Clerk. I hope my experience and strong results have earned your trust and support. I humbly ask for your vote to re-elect me as your Circuit Court Clerk on May 22.
