Remke Markets sold to Findlay, Ohio based Fresh Encounter; Bill Remke to retire


After careful consideration, today we announce that Fresh Encounter, Inc. has entered into a definitive agreement to manage Remke Markets, Inc. on behalf of Generative Growth, LLC, a privately held company based in Findlay, Ohio.

Fresh Encounter is a pro-associate environment with a strong focus on engagement in the local communities they serve and providing genuine customer satisfaction, philosophies that align well with those of Remke Markets.

This change will allow us to continue to deliver on our promise of a local, neighborhood grocery with exceptional service in convenient locations, as well as to preserve valuable employment for our dedicated associates. Operations of our 10 store locations in Ohio and Kentucky will continue.

We also share with you today that Bill Remke, after 60 years of service to the company will now enjoy his well-deserved retirement.

    I love remkes . Ever since flicks closed , I started shopping at remkes . I moved from. Kentucky to Ohio . The store in Delhi , Ohio needs work in the meat department . I know crescent springs is awesome and it’s unfair to compare , but it needs help . The deli is fine . The meat department is very small and sucks . The rest of the store is fine , but small .The first Thing I did when I moved is look for a remkes , so please can you help?

    Did Bill Remke have children to pass on the legacy? Is it setup like Johnson and Johnson whereby no family involvement in the company at all and just receive an income from it?
