Covington’s newest entertainment destination, PiAzza at RiverCenter, is in a familiar location

The former Festival at RiverCenter, home to three unique restaurants- FIRE, Butler’s Pantry and Biscuits to Burgers, is now PiAzza at RiverCenter, an exciting entertainment destination located on the plaza level of the RiverCenter Towers at 50 E. RiverCenter Blvd. in Covington, Kentucky. The PiAzza combines delicious dining options with a space to hear live music, interact with mixologists or sip on an expertly crafted cocktail. Guests can enjoy a large outdoor patio that seats up to 400 people and connects each of the restaurants.

RiverCenter Entertainment Ventures, LLC, a subsidiary of real-estate focused Investment Company, Corporex Co. LLC, operates the PiAzza and each of its restaurants. The company has exciting developments planned for the PiAzza in the upcoming months, including the addition of three more restaurant concepts and an outdoor patio bar, bringing its total to seven entities.

Entertainment Destination Center License

Soon, customers may be able to move freely between each of the businesses along the patio with their drinks in hand. RiverCenter Entertainment Ventures has begun the process to apply for an entertainment destination license (EDL), which “allows consumption of alcoholic beverages in public places within the boundaries of the EDC.” This type of license only exists in three other places in the state of Kentucky- Newport on the Levee, Fourth Street Live in Louisville, and the Summit at Fritz Farm in Lexington.

Events and Entertainment

PiAzza at RiverCenter will host concerts and other live entertainment, and is hosting its first major event in early May. In addition to live music and entertainment, the PiAzza will provide other “eatertainment” activities, including a cornhole league this summer. It will also soon be available to rent out for graduation parties, rehearsal dinners and other group gatherings.

Additional Developments

The Patio Bar, an outdoor bar located on the PiAzza, will open soon, new permanent outdoor fire pits have recently been installed, and there are more potential exterior development plans underway. In addition to the exterior plans, the restaurants are each unveiling new menu items and services.

Biscuits to Burgers now offers breakfast all day including biscuits, omelets, French toast and pancakes, as well as unlimited mimosas and bloody mary’s on Saturdays and Sundays. FIRE has added multiple new and innovative menu items including a Miso Salmon dish, Carolina Style Ribs, Hawaiian Ribeye and a Mongolian pork Chop. Lastly, Butler’s Pantry is introducing Chef Joe’s Meals 2 Go, a grab-and-go meal service where customers can pick up a meal, take it home and heat it up. Executive Chef Joe Kim prepares fresh meals daily in individual, two-person and family sized servings.
