First Responders get free admission at Newport Aquarium, Cincinnati Zoo, Sept. 11-17

In recognition of “Patriot Day” on September 11, Newport Aquarium will offer free admission to first responders.

No matter what the emergency; 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, first responders never stop protecting us. From September 11 -17, the Aquarium will recognize police officers, firefighters, EMTs, state troopers, correction officers, 911 dispatchers, and other professionals involved in law enforcement, investigations and emergency response. Those who present their professional credentials, along with a valid government-issues photo ID at the ticket window, will receive free admission to Newport Aquarium.

Family members and friends who accompany police, firefighters and first responders at the aquarium ticket window will be able to receive discounts of $3 off adult and $2 off child (ages 2-12) admission.

The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden is also honoring those who protect our community by offering free admission to all active fire and police personnel September 11-17.

Personnel who qualify for free admission include firefighters, EMTs, uniformed police officers, state troopers, border patrol agents, investigators, evidence technicians, firearms examiners, crime lab technicians, 911 dispatchers, correction officers, hand writing examiners, intelligence analysts and investigative assistants.

The offer also allows fire and police personnel to purchase admission tickets at 50% off for up to six family members.

A valid fire or police photo ID must be presented at the Cincinnati Zoo to take advantage of this offer. Fire and police badges and identification cards are accepted only if accompanied by photo ID. As all ID must reference specific fire or police duty, government-only IDs will not be accepted.

Regular discount: First responders receive $3 off adult tickets and $2 off child/senior tickets 364 days a year.
