The Home Builders Association of Northern Kentucky (HBA) received two awards from the National Association of Homes Builders (NAHB).

According to NAHB’s website, “The Association Excellence Awards is an annual program designed to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of state and local HBAs and executive officers in the field of association management.”

The awards represented achievements for “Best Web 2.0 Program” for the associations social media programs in 2015 and “Best Service to Members” for the association’s newly created “Passport to New Construction.”

“We are extremely proud to be recognized from the 800 other HBA’s as an example to be followed,” said Brian Miller, Executive Vice President of the organization.

“Social media has become such an integral part of our communications plans.  We approach it with a strategy that includes elements such as video, photos, event invitations, tagging strategies and even drone videos that are proven to result in action.  We not only utilize Facebook, but other platforms of social media to communicate with members, our workforce, the public and elected and appointed officials.  It is a well-orchestrated endeavor and this award is great recognition of our staff’s hard work to communicate in the new Millennia.  The “Passport to New Homes” is the brainchild of our members.  With historically low inventories of existing homes for sale, it was important for our members to interact with our REALTOR® community.  The goal was to better educate those representing buyers and sellers about the components of new construction from a foundation all the way to warranties and service after the closing.  It was this type of get-it-done approach that created a successful method to bring REALTORS® and Registered Builders together and share information while building new business relationships.  We are extremely proud of the achievements of our member-staff team and look forward to many more well deserved accolades in the future.”

The HBA has won seven Association Excellence Awards in the last seven years.  An HBA cannot win any award in the same category but once every three years unless substantial changes have been made to the program.

The HBA has won NAHB’s Association Excellence Award for Workforce Development five of the last seven years for its work with its Enzweiler Building Institute.  There are twenty Association Excellence Awards bestowed upon local HBA’s each year.
