The NKY Chamber is helping small businesses grow their presence online with a “Let’s Put Our Cities on the Map” workshop, which will feature a lesson about updating business contact and location information. The workshop will be hosted on Wednesday, June 10 at the NKY Chamber Offices at 300 Buttermilk Pike in Fort Mitchell from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Let’s Put Our Cities on the Map is part of Google’s Get Your Business Online program and aims to bring community members, business owners, and civic leaders together to help small businesses succeed on the web.

“Nothing leaves a customer more upset than when they try to Google a business to get their location and contact information only to find it is incorrect. This workshop will resolve that issue and help businesses put their best face forward from their customer’s first search,” said Naashom Marx, Vice President of Business Growth and International Trade at the NKY Chamber

“Four out of five consumers use search engines to find local information nearby, yet only 37 percent of businesses have claimed their listing on a search engine,” says Soo Young Kim, head of small business engagement at Google. “Small businesses are the engine of local economies and when they flourish, their communities do as well.”

Let’s Put Our Cities on the Map is a program designed to empower communities to support their local businesses and encourage them to get on the map. The workshop is a Google presentation hosted by the NKY Chamber. Click here to learn more about the program and get involved.

Reservations can be made by calling (859) 578-8800 or online here.
