NKY Heroin Impact Response Task Force to hold free interactive Strategies for Hope in Dayton Oct. 18


Members of the Northern Kentucky Heroin Impact Response Task Force are planning an interactive forum for residents and business owners in Dayton.

“Strategies for Hope,” is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18, at Lincoln Elementary, 701 Fifth Ave., Dayton.

The free event will provide information about steps citizens can take in response to the heroin epidemic. Topics covered include substance abuse prevention, medication assisted therapy, syringe access exchange programs and overdose reversal using naloxone. Resources on local substance abuse treatment programs and the heroin response will be available as well.

The event is being co-sponsored by the Northern Kentucky Heroin Impact Response Task Force, Campbell County Drug-Free Alliance and the Northern Kentucky Health Department.

It is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.
