Annual Asbury United Methodist Church Craft Fair scheduled for November 10 in Highland Heights

It’s been a Northern Kentucky time-honored tradition for over 37 years and it returns to Highland Heights in early November.

Everyone is invited and welcome to attend the annual Asbury United Methodist Church, 38th Annual Craft Fair on Friday, November 10th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm and Saturday, November 11th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00p.m.

If you enjoy any of the following this renowned craft fair is especially for you. Crafting, Knitting, Crocheting, Sewing, Wood crafting, Hobbyist, Quilters, Bargain Hunters, Thrift Shoppers, Christmas Shoppers and anyone who really likes to save money.

The festive event is free of charge to attend and there’s plenty of easy to navigate, off-street parking. The Craft Fair features all types of handcrafted items like, crochet hats and scarves, home and holiday decorations, jewelry, birdhouses and wooden crafts, handmade paper goods, vegetables, holiday decorations and home crafts, wide assortment of candies and baked goods and the world-famous Asbury Pickles. These one of a kind, homemade pickles have been named the best by pickle officiant’s across Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky and are a must have for any pickle connoisseur.

The craft fair will feature the always popular White Elephant Sale.

The name stems from the type of items often sold, which are often referred to as white elephants. They operate in a manner similar to Salvation Army thrift shops. Church members, neighbors, volunteers, community organizations and friends of the church donate old items which they no longer use, or otherwise no longer care to own. Items are sold at low, low giveaway prices, as many are obsolete or useful to only certain people, and would not otherwise be sold. Donated items include children’s toys and games, dishes, home and kitchen goods, furniture, electronics, records, tapes and CD’s, video games, clothing, Christmas ornaments, antiques, and much more. You never know what you’ll find at the White Elephant Sale.

Over the past six years the Asbury United Methodist Church has raised and donated over $50,000 to missions, both local and around the world. All funds raised through the event are donated to such worthy causes as: Hosea House, Salvation Army, Parish Kitchen, Red Bird Mission, NKU Wesley Foundation, UMCOR, Matthew 25 Ministries, Grace Ministries, Family Promise (IHN), Ida Spence, and United Methodist Committee on Relief, New Hope and the United Methodist Children’s Home in Versailles, Ky. Last year’s sale generated $9,288. All of which was shared across twenty (20) worthy charities, missions and causes.

Hungry while you browse? A delicious homemade lunch, including a wide variety of hearty and delicious homemade soups, sandwiches, chips, pickles, pies, brownies and cakes, soft drinks, iced tea (sweet and unsweet) coffee, and ice cold bottled water are available for sit down table service or carry out.
