HeartChase NKY — fun and games to battle heart disease and stroke; sign up now

It’s time to sign up for the annual HeartChase NKY, a family-friendly amazing race that benefits the American Heart Association.

From last year’s HeartChase.

This year’s community adventure, presented by St. Elizabeth Healthcare, begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 20, at Newport on the Levee. It’s free to participate. To donate to a player or a team, start a team or register, go to http://honor.americanheart.org/heartchasenky2017.

At HeartChase, teams of two to five compete against other teams at checkpoint challenges and track their progress in the HeartChase Mobile Game App.

HeartChase NKY is the largest in the country.

What makes this competition unique?

• Fun and creative checkpoint challenges at which your team earns points (e.g. bowling, Just Dance, nutrition trivia, hands-only CPR).

• The ability to track your progress in real time on the HeartChase Mobile Game App.

• Through fundraising efforts, teams can earn Game Advantages which can be used to make other teams run in place or skip a checkpoint and still collect the points.

• Teams can be made up of families, friends, co-workers or anyone else who wants to join in the fight against heart disease and stroke!
