Bids will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at which time the high bidder will be announced. The bidder must pay in full at that time with cash, cashier’s or certified check made payable to the “Kentucky State Treasurer.”

Personal checks will only be accepted with a bank letter of credit guaranteeing payment.

Pictures and details about moving the furniture out by Aug. 30 are online. Go to finance.ky.gov and click on public auction information.

Recently several state agencies moved out of the converted bourbon warehouses at the complex located at Buffalo Trace Distillery. With the growth in worldwide bourbon sales, Buffalo Trace will reconvert the buildings to once again store bourbon.

The Division of Surplus Property, an agency of the Finance and Administration Cabinet, coordinates the sale of excess state property. Questions can be directed to Surplus Property at 502-573-4836.
