Registration open now for STEM Girls Day Out, a free learning opportunity for 4th-12th grade girls


STEM — Science, Technology, engineering and Math — Girls Day Out will take place Tuesday, July 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 pm. at various locations around NKY.

It’s a special free program for girls in the 4th to 12th grade to explore career and educational opportunities.

They get hands-on learning experience from local employers and will tour and visit a local company.

The workshop will allow for personal and in-depth career exploration.

Host sites will include: Fidelity, Duke Energy, Mazak, Thomas More College, General Cable, Perfetti Van Melle, Gateway Community & Technical College, St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Toyota Motor Manufacturing, N.A., Northern Kentucky University, Celanese and Messier-Bugatti.

Sponsor who make it possible include Celanese, Duke Energy, Toyota, Mazak, Thomas More College and General Cable.

Register in advance. Students will be assigned to one location on a first come,first served basis.
