He became heavily involved in project management roles in 2006 and was promoted to inspector over city, residential, and commercial development projects.

Hunt was promoted again in 2008 to project administrator of the sanitary and storm divisions in the Public Services Department where he was responsible for all permitting compliance between the City and the Kentucky Division of Water. He was also responsible for forecasting capital funds for both the sanitary sewer and storm sewer infrastructure.

In 2013, Hunt was promoted to project manager in the Public Services Department, where he supervised city inspectors and project administrators and was responsible for overseeing and administering all city projects and programs.

Hunt also consulted with the Business and Community Development Director and acted as a reviewer and liaison with developers on economic development and capital projects. He performed all plan review for new development coming to the City and managed all capital funds assigned to the Public Services Department.

Hunt earned his Associate’s Degree in Business Management from American National University. The Ryle High School graduate resides in Verona and enjoys spending time with his three children, farming, and coaching the New Haven Elementary Archery Team.

Hunt was introduced at Tuesday’s Florence City Council meeting and will transition to his new role in city government over the next few weeks.

He fills the position vacated when Joshua Wice left the City of Florence to become Vice President for Investor Relations and Strategic Resources with REDI Cincinnati
