Thomas Albert “Rip” Ripberger, 84, of Alexandria, KY, passed away Friday, May 27, 2022, at home surrounded by family. Tom was born April 7, 1938, in Cincinnati, OH. His first job in his life he worked as a waiter at the Beverly Hills Supper Club. He retired from Local 44 after 42 years as a union rod buster. Tom loved dogs and enjoyed fishing, hunting, sports and coached baseball and football. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert, and June (Warner) Ripberger and a brother, Richard (Karen) Ripberger. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Betty Ripberger (nee Johnson); four children: Pamela (Bruce) Steffen, Sherrie (Joseph) Ritter, Thomas Ripberger Jr. and Timothy (Jackie) Ripberger; three siblings, Carol (Late Terry) Hamilton, Donna (Merle) Gasdorf and Mike (Regina) Ripberger. Visitation Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at the Alexandria Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 12:00 PM. Interment to follow in Saint Mary Cemetery, Alexandria, KY.
