Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 7:00 pm in Sacred Heart Chapel, St. Anne Retreat Center, Melbourne on Thursday, February 26. Preceding Mass will be Visitation and a Wake Service at 6 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Congregation of Divine Providence, 5300 Saint Anne Drive, Melbourne, KY 41059. Dobbling, Muehlenkamp & Erschell are handling arrangements.

Sr. Dorothy Laible, CDP died at Holy Family on February 23, 2015. She was a professed member of the Congregation of Divine Providence for 74 years. Dorothy was born in Newport, Kentucky to Frank and Bernadina (nee: Schumacher) Laible in 1922. She made her first profession of vows in 1941 and professed her final vows in 1946. Sr. Dorothy (Mary Laetitia) was a high school teacher from 1945 until 1966 in Ft. Thomas, Ashland, Winchester and Lexington until 1966 when she was named principal at Our Lady of Providence Academy in Newport where she stayed until being appointed provincial treasurer in 1973. She continued to work at the Provincial Center assisting in numerous aspects of administration and finance until her retirement from the Development Office just this past fall. She is survived by her religious community, the Sisters of Divine Providence and by nieces and nephews. Her siblings Marie, Frank, George and Charles Laible preceded her in death.
