Ronald “Ron” Bruce Turner, 80 years of age, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. Ronald was born in Covington, Kentucky to the late Harvey and Dorothy Turner. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Edward Turner. Ron leaves behind his loving sister, Debbie Adams (Avery); nephew, Aaron Adams (Melissa); niece, Alisha Espelage (Aaron); and great niece, Addison Adams. Ron took great delight in spending time with family especially with his nephew, niece, and great niece. From a very young age Ron was very passionate in regards to politics. He served as Commissioner for Covington, KY from 1968-1979 and was very instrumental in saving the riverside homes in Covington. He also proudly served as the Covington Mayor in 1987. Ron spent many years working at CG&E as the Director of Revenue. After retirement he did some consulting work and substitute teaching. Ron was a world class traveler he had been to every US state and Capital as well as 64 different countries. He was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles and loved art and trips to the Symphony. He will be remembered for his great love of family and his grand ability to enjoy life. Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, June 24, 2022, from 6 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 US HWY 42, Florence, KY 41042. Inurnment will be private at Highland Cemetery, in Ft. Mitchell, KY.
