Mary Susanne Weltzer was born into this world on August 4th, 1954 to Charles and Frances (nee Roberts) Fugazzi. She went home to God on May 30th, 2022 at the age of 67. Mary was born and raised in the beautiful city of Edgewood KY and resided in Erlanger until her passing. Mary graduated from Dixie high School in 1972. In 1975 she married her high school sweetheart and love of her life William Louis Weltzer, or Billy as she liked to call him. Bill and Mary shared a beautiful, happy, adventurous life together. They lived in California, Washington and Texas before returning to their roots in Kentucky. Mary selflessly devoted her life to taking care of her husband, two children and four grandchildren. Mary loved all children and was an advocate of many children’s causes. She sponsored many families around the world and has donated her resources to many other children’s organizations. Mary loved art and design and had a unique eye for conceptualizing design into spaces. Mary welcomed anyone into her life and loved unconditionally. Her tenacious laugh would light up an entire room. Mary was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind many beautiful memories.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Frances Fugazzi, and brother Charlie Fugazzi. She is survived by her husband Bill Weltzer, two children, Julie (Shane) Alford, Brent Weltzer, and four precious grandchildren, Jacob Weltzer, Charles Alford, Louis Alford, and Frances Alford.
Service will be held will be held Sunday June 5th, at 2 pm at Neltner’s Farm & Event Venue (6922 Four Mile Rd Melbourne KY 41059), with a celebration of life and meal immediately following.
