While we mourn the loss of the most loving and caring Wife (“Sweetsie Bear”), Mom, Ma Ma, Sister and everything she was to all of us, we know everyone in Heaven is celebrating the return of their Angel. We are fortunate to have had her for 75 years, although no matter how long, it would never have been long enough.

Margie was so proud of her family and loved nothing more than spending time with them, whether it be at the Zoo, Aquarium, Museum, dinners, holidays and cheering them and their teammates on at OLP, NCC, Thomas More, U of L, and Ludlow sporting events. Every event was something to be celebrated with a cookie cake, basket of goodies, her sweet homemade candy specially molded to fit the occasion, and of course, lots and lots of pictures. Most all who knew Margie has had the pleasure of experiencing her famous homemade candy, delicious mostaccioli, lasagna and a big hug right along with it. Margie never went anywhere empty handed and without a heart full of love.

She knew no strangers and was kind to everyone she met. Her generosity never ended. Margie’s life was dedicated to helping others and she was often referred to as the “energizer bunny” by her family. In honor of Margie, please pay it forward and pass along an act of kindness as she would have done. She will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her, but we know she is in Heaven right now lining everyone up for pictures. We can just hear her, in her timid yet determined manner when it came to getting just the right picture: “God… excuse me, God – I know you’re busy, but would you mind taking our picture?” Say cheese everyone – your Angel has arrived.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 13 from 3-7 p.m. at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, 427 S. Ft. Thomas Avenue, Ft. Thomas. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, October 14, 2:00 p.m. at Holy Spirit Church, 825 with Msgr. William Cleves officiating. Final resting place will be at St. Stephen Cemetery. Reception immediately following Mass. Memorials may be made to NCC High School, 13 Carothers Road, Newport, KY 41071 or Holy Spirit Tuition Fund, 825 Washington Avenue, Newport, KY 41071.

The family asks that you please share a special thought or memory you have of Margie.
