Janice Gail Gebelt (nee Swartz), 88, of Alexandria, KY, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022. She was born on June 20, 1933, to Emmett and Helen (nee: Galloway) Swartz in Pendleton County, KY. Janice worked as a Secretary for Campbell County Farm Bureau. She was a long-time member of Persimmon Grove Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Campbell County Homemakers and the Crazy Quilters. Janice is survived by her daughter, Paula (Denny) Newberry; two sons, Roger (Debbie) Gebelt and Chris (Therese) Gebelt; sister-in-law, KumCha Swartz; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Elmore Gebelt in 1998 and brother, Larry Swartz. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2022, from 10:00 am – until time of Funeral Service at 12:00 pm at Persimmon Grove Baptist Church, 10471 Persimmon Grove Pike, Alexandria, KY 41001. Burial will follow in Persimmon Grove Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Persimmon Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 148, Alexandria, KY 41001.
