Helen Mary (nee Neltner) Jones, of Fort Thomas, Kentucky passed away on December 14, 2018 at Carmel Manor Nursing Home, Fort Thomas, KY, where she spent the last 3 years of her life being cared for by a very loving staff.

Helen was born in Covington, Kentucky, September 27, 1929 to Peter and Philomena (Woeste) Neltner.

She was a graduate of Our Lady of Providence High School, life-long member of St. Thomas Church, Ft. Thomas and a member of St. Thomas Mothers Club. She worked at Western Southern in her early years; opened an ice ball store in Ft. Thomas, which many people still speak fondly of today; later worked at Squire Jacks; and retired from Sports Service Riverfront Stadium. She was a generous, loving mother whose greatest joy was her family. She spent endless hours with her grandchildren, and everyone looked forward to the huge batches of her oatmeal cookies that she gave out at Christmas. She was a friendly and outgoing person who never met a stranger. She will be missed dearly. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Charlton Jones and Brothers and Sisters-in-law, Richard (Mary Dell), Earl (Alice), and Art (Ruthie) Neltner.

Helen is survived by her Daughters, Jennifer (Mark) McGinnis of Fort Thomas, KY, and Martha (Mark) Rhoden Bessler of Alexandria, KY, Sons, Chuck Jones of Newport, KY, Richard (Meribeth) Jones of Sarasota, Fl., Roger (Judy) Jones of Cold Spring, KY. Brother, Harold (late Joyce) Neltner, Mt.Healthy, OH, Sister, Dottie (Tony) Rizzo, Highland Heights, KY, 21 Grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, and also many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 4:30 pm-7:00 pm at St. Thomas Church, 26 E. Villa Place, Fort Thomas, Kentucky. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 7:00 pm at St Thomas Church, with Rev. Msgr. John R Schulte, officiating.

Entombment will take place in St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas, Kentucky.
