Betty Jane Cheeks, of Crescent Springs, KY passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY on Sunday, December 6, 2020. She was born in Covington, KY on August 17, 1954; the daughter of the late Donald Sr. and Mamie Cooke. Betty worked as an in-home nurse and caregiver and was a member of Corinth Shiloh Full Gospel Church. Her greatest joy, however, came from spending time with her beloved family who she cherished deeply. In her spare time, Betty often enjoyed attending church, traveling, helping others and playing cards, especially Euchre which she was very fond of.

Preceding Betty in death were her parents; her loving husband, Wayne Cheeks; three brothers, Donald Cooke, Kenneth Cooke and James Cooke, as well as her in-laws, Nelson and Elsie Cheeks. Those who are left surviving to carry on Betty Legacy include her caring children, Jennifer (Brian) Kidd, Greg (Heidi) Cheeks, Anthony (Kimberly) Cheeks and Grace Brown; siblings, William Cooke and Georgia Frederick; five grandchildren, David Carr, Andrew Cheeks, McKinnley Cheeks, Makayla Cheeks and Carley Kidd; one great-grandchild, Asher Cheeks; as well as many other close relatives and friends.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Betty will be laid to rest next to her husband at Independence Cemetery, 5358 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Corinth Shiloh Full Gospel Church, 266 Keefer Road, Corinth, KY 41010.
