Barbara Ann Davis, age 78, of Erlanger, passed away on Friday, November 24,2017. Barbara was the loving wife of Roger P. Davis for 59 years. She also leaves behind sisters, Mary Lou Aylor, Irene Ramler and a brother, Thomas R.B. Taylor; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, R.B. Taylor; mother, Cordie Taylor; and brother, John Robert Taylor. She was a cheerleader for Boone County High School and cheered them to their first ever appearance in the “Sweet Sixteen”. She enjoyed water skiing with friends and after marriage, lived for a time in Lafayette, Louisiana where her husband was stationed in the Air Force. Barbara worked as a Paralegal, and served on the Paralegal Board at the College of Mount Saint Joseph. She was a charter member of the Cincinnati and Kentucky Paralegal Associations and the Kentucky Bar Associations Paralegal Board. She was also a past Matron of the Bristow Chapter 31 Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Florence Baptist Church. In recent years, Barbara and her husband spent their winters in South Carolina, where she enjoyed watching dolphins play in the ocean from her balcony. She loved the Southern cuisine and made trips to Savannah, Georgia to dine in Paula Dean’s restaurant. She was also very active in the First Presbyterian Church of Myrtle Beach. Barbara became a lifelong University of Kentucky sports fan when, thanks to Dr. Harry Daugherty of Florence, she attended her first UK football game at the age of five. Over several years, vacations with her husband centered around trips to various UK sports opponent’s stadiums and arenas plus trips to a Peach Bowl (8 degree ice bowl) and several Final 4 tournaments. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 12 to 1PM with services following at 1PM at Stith Funeral Homes, US Hwy 42 Florence, KY 41042. Burial at Hopeful Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Hospice of the Bluegrass 7388 Turfway Road, Florence, KY 41042
