Women’s Initiative to hold annual breakfast on January 24; Dr. Debra Clary is keynote speaker

The Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Women’s Initiative is preparing to kick off 2018 with one of the largest professional development and networking events of the year, the Women’s Initiative Annual Breakfast, sponsored by PNC.

On Wednesday, January 24, 2018, hundreds of women and men from around Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati will gather at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center to network and hear directly from keynote speaker Dr. Debra Clary (Dr. Deb). Dr. Deb is the Corporate Director for the Leadership Institute at Humana, Inc.

“The Women’s Initiative Annual Breakfast is the largest event we host each year, second only to the Chamber’s Annual Dinner, and we’re excited for what this year’s program has in store,” said Annual Breakfast Chair Allyson Cook. “This year’s breakfast promises to provide yet another great speaker in Dr. Debra Clary, and the ability to network and socialize with many professional women and men in our business community.”

Keynote speaker Dr. Deb has three decades of experience with Fortune 100 Companies, holding executive roles at Frito-Lay, Coca-Cola and Jack Daniel’s.

At the breakfast, she will share strategies to increase your impact and contribution to your organization while being on purpose and more fulfilled. Attendees will also learn strategies and techniques for creating the mindset of hope, which allows leaders to shine during times of difficulty, challenging circumstances, unpredictable change, and the fear of failure.

In addition to a keynote address from Dr. Deb, the breakfast will include the presentation of the Spirit of Achievement Award to a professional woman who has had career success, been active in the community, and made a significant impact on progress through the Women’s Initiative. The 2017 honoree was Blanche Gaynor, President of Writing Enhancement Services. The 2018 recipient will be announced in January.

The non-profit partner of this year’s Women’s Initiative Annual Breakfast is the USO of Central and Southern Ohio. The organization covers six counties in Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia, serving military members and their families at the CVG airport lounge, the Military Entrance Processing Station, through their care package program, and many more initiatives. Attendees of the 2018 breakfast and their companies can help fill care packages by donating money or items including socks, travel size toiletries, and more at the breakfast.

Tickets to the Women’s Initiative Annual Breakfast are $50 for NKY Chamber members and $75 for future Chamber members. Reservations for the breakfast are required. For more information, contact Gina Bath at 859-578-6384 or online at www.nkychamber.com/WIAnnualBreakfast.
