Tim and Barb Rawe, representing the Albert S. & Anna L. Rawe Family Foundation, presented a $7,500 check to Brighton Center to support its Homeward Bound Shelter in Covington.
Since 2012, the foundation has generously donated a total of $45,000 to support the Brighton Center mission.
Homeward Bound Shelter is a 24-hour emergency shelter location in Covington that provides a safe environment and residential treatment services for runaway, homeless, abused, neglected, and dependent youth ages 11-17.
Huffman, Mangine among new CPAs
The Kentucky Society of CPAs (KyCPA) recognized newly certified public accountants at an awards banquet recently at the Downtown Hyatt in Louisville.
Dick Carroll, Executive Director of the Kentucky State Board of Accountancy, administered the oath of the Certified Public Accountant to eligible attendees.
Among the newly certified CPAs were Northern Kentuckians: Newly certified CPAs. The following have met all requirements for certification and have taken the Oath of the Certified Public Accountant:

• Andrew J. Mangine, Rudler, PSC, Ft. Wright
Governor’s appointments
The Governor has made the following appointments of NKY people to boards and commissions:
Kentucky Commission on Community Volunteerism and Service
Andrew J. Cole, of Crestview Hills, is the director of campus ministry at Thomas More College. He will serve for a term expiring January 3, 2020.
Lauren D. Palmer, of Verona, is College of Education Supervisor at Northern Kentucky University. She will serve for a term expiring January 3, 2020.
Matthew Seifried, of Florence, is a student at Xavier University. He will represent youths participating in service programs and serve for a term expiring Jan. 3, 2020.
Kentucky Wireless Interoperability Executive Committee
Paul M. See, of Cold Spring, is a radio project manager. He will represent the Kentucky Association of Fire Chiefs and serve for a term expiring July 22, 2019.
Kentucky Military Family Assistance Trust Fund Board
Captain Sharif Abdrabbo, of Taylor Mill, is an attorney advisor with the Federal Emergency Management Agency. He will serve for a term expiring Oct. 5, 2021.
