September 21 NKY History Hour to explore 100-year legacy of Baker Hunt Art and Cultural Center

Nearly 100 years in the making, Baker Hunt Art and Cultural Center was founded in 1922 by Margaretta Baker-Hunt, a visionary, committed to serving her community. After losing most of her family, Margaretta and her niece, Kate Scudder, opened their hearts and home to the community for parties, plays and art making. The purpose of the foundation was “the promotion of Education, Art, Science, Psychic Research, and Religion.

Join Cora Arney, the Learner Experience Director, the Learner Experience Director at the Baker Hunt Art and Cultural Center in Covington, Kentucky as she shares the history of Baker Hunt, during the next virtual NKY History Hour at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 21. Registration and participation for the virtual event presentated by Behringer-Crawford Museum is free and available via Zoom.

Information on how to connect to the Zoom session will be sent after registration. The event will also be streamed live on BCM’s Facebook page.

Arney is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University with a Master of Arts in Public History and two Bachelor of Arts in Studio Arts and Anthropology.

She previously worked with the NKU Steely Library Archives, Cincinnati Art Museum, Delhi Historical Society, the Betts House and served as Vice President of the Museums and Historic Sites of Greater Cincinnati. Her personal mission is to promote the importance of history, art, culture, and creativity in all disciplines.
