Verst Group Logistics joins NKU’s Haile College of Business to open of Hub of Supply Chain Excellence

Staff report

Northern Kentucky University, in partnership with Verst Group Logistics and the Haile College of Business, will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony next week to celebrate the opening of the Verst Group Logistics Hub of Supply Chain Excellence.

Verst Logistics and CEO Paul Verst

The ceremony will take place on August 23 on NKU’s campus at the Business Academic Center, Room 243, and an Open House and light refreshments will follow.
Through the partnership and generosity of Verst Group Logistics, the hub will be equipped to serve as the heart of the Global Supply Chain Management program at NKU now and into the future.

It will allow students and alumni the opportunity to connect and engage with businesses and affiliated groups within this growing field.

A key aspect of the hub will be providing students with experiential learning opportunities through client-based capstone projects, internships, and industry tours. It will also feature an innovative and interactive mural showcasing the history of the supply chain.

The hub will offer guest speakers, roundtable sessions, conferences, emerging tech demos, a job postings kiosk, reference library, student huddle areas, and interview spaces.

It will also serve as the home for the newly formed student chapter of the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM).

Today, led by his son Paul Verst, the company offers fulfillment, packaging, transportation, and warehousing solutions to customers in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Arizona, and Alabama.

Bill Verst was actively involved in support of NKU from its earliest days and served in various volunteer roles at the institution, including as chair of the Board of Regents and as Emeritus Chair. The company’s support of NKU has continued over the years.
