Keith Ritchie named NKY outreach counselor for Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority

Keith Ritchie has joined the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority as the outreach counselor for Northern Kentucky.

Ritchie will provide student aid and college planning information to residents of Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties.

“Education can open doors like nothing else. Whether it be traditional college, technical school, or vocational training, I’m here to help students realize that postsecondary goals can be attainable,” Ritchie said. “Thanks to KHEAA’s state aid programs, it can also be affordable. I grew up in the greater Cincinnati area, and it means a lot to me to be able to serve the students and families of Northern Kentucky.”

Ritchie has a bachelor’s in broadcasting from Eastern Kentucky University and a master’s in applied behavior science from Wright State University. A returning KHEAA employee, Ritchie most recently worked on the Education Team at Hamilton County Job and Family Services.

Ritchie lives in Anderson Township, Ohio, with his wife, Ashley, and their two daughters, Harper and Addison.

“Keith’s experience with Hamilton County Job and Family Services complements his prior work with KHEAA,” Kim Dolan, KHEAA Director of Outreach, said. “We know the people of Northern Kentucky will find him a valuable asset.”

KHEAA is the state agency that administers the Kentucky Educational Excellence Scholarship (KEES), need-based grants and other programs to help students pay their higher education expenses. Kentucky Lottery funds pay for many of those programs. For more information about Kentucky scholarships and grants, visit kheaa.com; write KHEAA at P.O.
