Girl Scouts of Wilderness Road to launch campaign for NKY Leadership Campus at its Erlanger property


Girl Scouts of Kentucky’s Wilderness Road will launch its ‘Challenge a Girl to Change Our World’ campaign tomorrow at its 11-acre property on Watson Road in Erlanger.

The organization will unveil its vision to create a $6 million state-of-the-art Northern Kentucky Leadership Campus on the Erlanger site.

Plan: The Leadership Campus

The first phase of the project is a $2 million initiative that will create a Leadership Center to include staff offices, a retail space and an entrepreneurship center to accommodate expanded programming, day camps and staff/volunteer training for girls and adults in the Northern Kentucky area and throughout 66 Kentucky counties.

The formal program will start at 1:15 and property tours will start at 2 p.m.

Participating in the announcements will be Susan Douglas, CEO of Girl Scouts of Kentucky’s Wilderness Road, Jude Hehman, the campaign chair and mayor of Fort Mitchell, and Jessica Fette, Mayor of Erlanger.

Girl Scouts and Volunteer Troop Leaders will participate in uniform.

GSKWR serves over 8,00 girls and young women of all backgrounds and abilities in 66 Kentucky counties and one Ohio county. It provides a focus on life skills, STEM, entrepreneurship and outdoor experiences to create a critical career pipeline of intelligent women leaders.
