Dana Dobbs named NKY Chamber Women’s Initiative Debbie Simpson Spirit of Achievement Award winner

The Northern Kentucky Chamber Women’s Initiative will recognize Dana Dobbs as the recipient of the eighth annual Debbie Simpson Spirit of Achievement Award.

The award, which will be presented at the Women’s Initiative 12th Annual Breakfast, sponsored by PNC on Tuesday, Feb. 2, honors women involved in the Northern Kentucky Chamber Women’s Initiative (WI) who have made a significant impact upon the progress of the WI program, had career success, and been active in the community.

Dana Dobbs

“Dana has been an amazing servant leader,’” said Shelley Funke Frommeyer, CEO/Wealth Advisor at FFR Wealth Team, and Immediate past chair of the WI Steering Committee. “She’s championed for the WI and encouraged local women in her circle who were unfamiliar with the program to become active and get involved. I admire her tenacity and willingness to lead women to great resources found at the Chamber.”

Dobbs, HR Communications & Change Management Manager at Citi, is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati. She routinely provides human resources process and systems support, leads change management strategy initiatives, and partners with businesses to drive strategic initiatives.

In addition to performing her duties at Citi, Dobbs is a long-time advocate of the WI. She’s been serving on the Grow Mentoring Committee since 2012 and is the committee’s Immediate Past Chair. She is also an active member of the Campbell County High School Band Boosters organization which helps with fundraising for the Band. Finally, Dobbs sings in the choir and participates on the Women’s Mission group at her church.

“I am humbled and honored to be presented with this award,” said Dobbs. “My involvement with the Women’s Initiative has been so rewarding. I’ve had the opportunity to work with some of the most inspiring women of all career stages working toward business and professional success.”

The WI will host its highly anticipated Annual Breakfast, sponsored by PNC, on Feb. 2.

Bringing women and men together virtually from around the region, the 12th Annual Breakfast theme, “Inspired Women Lead,” will provide perspective on what drives success both in business and in life. The event will feature a discussion among a group of dynamic female leaders who will share how they drew upon their individual expertise and that of their teams to navigate difficulties. New this year, the 2021 program offers two new features: virtual networking and an opportunity to elevate local women-owned businesses impacted by the pandemic.

The Women’s Initiative Annual Breakfast is free to attend, though registration is required. Participation in the Virtual Networking is available for $25. Those registered for the Virtual Networking will receive a $25 gift card from a local woman-owned business.
