Larock Healthcare Academy, focused on allied health care, opens on Beckfield College campus in Florence

Larock Healthcare Academy –  a premier educational institution focused on providing opportunities in the allied health, healthcare administrative, and general healthcare fields – has opened its first Kentucky location on the Florence campus of Beckfield College.

The Florence location at 16 Spiral Drive began enrolling in October and offers certification programs in Blood Lab Specialist, Clinical Lab Assistant, Patient Care/Multi-Skilled Technician, Phlebotomy Technician, EKG / Cardiac Monitor Technician, CPR / AED and Paramedical Examiner. Larock offers monthly starts that vary by program.

“We are very excited about expanding to the Northern Kentucky / Greater Cincinnati area and to be able to fill a void in the community by providing healthcare training and certifications that allow quick-entry into the healthcare field,” said Larock Academy President Justin Leonti. “Some of our students come here to expand upon their current knowledge and certifications and others are here to start a new career and enter into the healthcare field. We offer short programs that range from a few days to a couple of months and are focused on providing students with the training they need to be successful in their field.”

In addition to offering on-campus classes, Larock is proud to partner with many healthcare facilities, high schools, and other businesses to provide on-site training for students, current employees, and future employees.

“The variety of courses offered can be an accessory to anyone who wants a fresh start in their educational experience,” said Jennifer Warner, a 2019 Larock Phlebotomy Technician graduate “The atmosphere of the program itself is non-intimidating, as well as accepting to the learning needs and style of the students themselves. I would recommend Larock Academy to everyone who would like a change in careers.”

Larock, which is owned and operated by Beckfield College, also has locations in Columbus, Cleveland/Parma Heights and the Canton/Akron area in Ohio.

Beckfield College is a degree- granting institution of higher learning dedicated to preparing learners for relevant professional healthcare careers in a diverse, ethical, student-centered environment.
