Frontier Airlines to celebrate inaugural nonstop service to New Orleans Friday afternoon

CVG and Frontier Airlines will be celebrating inaugural nonstop service to New Orleans (MSY) tomorrow — with more than a flight.

Frontier Flight is going to the Big Easy.

Representatives from CVG and the regional travel and tourism industry will travel on the inaugural flight to present New Orleans airport officials with a care package full of regional specialties including Little Kings Cream Ale, which pairs with the taste of New Riff Distillery Kentucky Bourbon.

And at the gate boarding area before the flight, passengers will be served bourbon balls and have the opportunity to take a celebratory photo at the New Orleans-themed backdrop for the ribbon-cutting.

The new service complements Frontier’s consistent growth at CVG since it began service more than six years ago in May 2013. Frontier now serves 21 destinations on a year-round/seasonal basis and has flown more than 4.5 million passengers to and from CVG.

The ribbon-cutting will be at 2 p.m. and the plane will depart at 2:45 p.m. from Concourse A.
