State Senator John Schickel’s Pickle Feast has donated $6,000 to Northern Kentucky Special Olympics.

“This year’s event was a huge success thanks to our generous contributors and we are happy to make this donation to such a worthy charity,” said event Chairperson Barb Keeling.

The Pickle Feast this year held at Verona Vineyards in September has become a Republican tradition statewide.

With a menu of pickles, wieners, and country music, this event has become a must-attend for Republican candidates across the state as well as the Republican faithful.

This year Governor Matt Bevin and Lt. Governor candidate, Dr. Ralph Alvarado and Congressman, Thomas Massey were the keynote speakers.

The entire Republican state wide ticket attended, including candidates for Attorney General, Daniel Cameron, Secretary of State, David Adams and Kentucky Auditor, Mike Harmon as well as a host of Republican state and local officials.

“We had a fun time, it is great to see everyone and celebrate our common values with good food and music,” said State Sen. John Schickel, R-Union.
