Kentucky Symphony Orchestra opens its indoor season with Classical Jazz Souffle on October 19

Opening night for the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra’s subscription series is October 19 at 7:30 p.m. at NKU’s Greaves Concert Hall.

It’s a Classical Jazz Souffle.

The KSO brings the jazz orchestrations of Don Sebesky, Eumir Deodato, and Billy May to the music of Bach, Brahms, Debussy, Mussorgsky, Rachmaninoff, and Stravinsky.

Area jazz masters join the KSO for a fresh take on beloved classics.

The KSO, led by Music & Executive Director James R. Cassidy, has recreated many of these arrangements from original handwritten scores.
