The Campbell County Public Library operates four branches.

Meet with a teacher from Campbell County Skills U to fill out enrollment forms and take the initial assessment to begin working on your GED. To prepare to take the GED test, you can do online classes, traditional classes or a mixture of both. Online classes may be accessed at home or through the public internet computers available at all four branches of the library. All testing and classes are free. Questions? Lunch & Learn: Meet the Curator of Telling a People’s Story

For the first time, African-American children’s illustrated literature is the focus of a museum exhibition featuring art produced for book illustrations. Come See the exhibit, then join us for lunch as we hear from curator Jason Shaiman as he discusses what inspired the development of the exhibition, as well as what went into creating this original presentation. The exhibition is organized by the Miami University Art Museum through a grant from the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation. Ages 18 & up. No need to register.

Antique Showcase with Dr. Brian Hackett

Dr. Brian Hackett of the NKU Public History program, will assess your antiques. While not a licensed appraiser, he has worked in museums since 1984 and has an eye for historical items disguised as regular day-to-day objects. If you have a family heirloom, register to have Dr. Hackett take a look. Ages 18 & up. Registration required. Magic the Gathering at the Library

Signature Series: Kristi Stanley and Running Blind

Born and raised in Pikeville, KY, Kristi Ison Stanley was brought up among a rich history of bluegrass and country music, immortalized along the famous Country Music Highway.  The highlight of her career came when she was asked by Dr. Ralph Stanley to be a part of the Grammy nominated album “Clinch Mountain Sweethearts”.  She joined not only her hero, Dolly Parton, but other stars including Pam Tillis, Sara Evans and Chely Wright on the project. Kristi’s shows include a vast array of Americana, Bluegrass, Gospel, Traditional Country and even the occasional Classic Rock song. Free tickets are required in advance.

Sensory Science Story Time

All ages are invited to use all of their senses to explore stories, songs and hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) activities.
