Zonta Service Fund applications for December grant distribution due by Oct. 1; NKY nonprofits are eligible


The ZontaService Fund of Cincinnati, Inc. (ZSFC) – the Zonta Club of Cincinnati’s (ZCC) non-profit arm – is offering grants to local non-profit, IRS-qualified 501(c)3
organizations.

The criteria that must be met to receive a ZSFC grant are: 

(1) the organization/project must be aligned with the mission, goals, and strategies of Zonta International and the ZCC which relates to women and children’s health, education and advocacy;

(2) the organization must be a not-for-profit IRS-qualified 501(c)3;

(3) the majority of the clients served by the organization must be women;

(4) the organization must be established for a minimum of 18 months;

(5)  the proposed use of the donation must have a direct impact on women.

Northern Kentucky nonprofits that meet the criteria are eligible to be considered for grant funding.

Grant applications are accepted year-round and will be distributed twice a year in May and December. Organizations may apply each cycle but only one grant will be awarded per organization per fiscal year.

Applications are now being accepted through October 1, from other non-profit service organizations in the Greater Cincinnati area for the December award distribution.

“This is the second year for this program for our club with the goal of awarding grants to truly deserving local organizations’ service projects supporting Zonta’s mission to empower women through service and advocacy,” said  Zonta Club of Cincinnati President Melinda Hepfner. “Organizations must complete a formal application to ZCC. Winning grant organizations must provide a completed feedback form and documentation of how the funds were used within one year of receipt of the funds.”
