Butler and chefs Arens, Williams join forces to build new company; chefs to manage RiverCenter venues

Mitch Arens, Executive Chef of Coppin’s Restaurant and Stephen Williams, owner of Bouquet Restaurant in Covington have become investors in RiverCenter Entertainment Venues, LLC; the operator of three venues on the Plaza of RiverCenter in Covington — and will take over the operations of Fire, Biscuits to Burgers, and Butler’s Pantry.

Arens and Stephens are both renowned chefs who want more.

They intend to build a company that provides diverse menus and appeals to diverse tastes and people.

“The opportunity to partner with Mr. Butler and to build for the future is a dream come true,” said Mitch Arens.

“Stephen and I will have the financial support we needed to take such a big step and to execute on our dreams.”

According to Stephen Williams, “Everything about the existing restaurant facilities at RiverCenter is of the highest quality — and we will bring our magic touch to make them come alive with taste and excitement — that is our aim.”

“Bouquet Restaurant will benefit as well from purchasing power of five rather than one restaurant, and this opportunity makes room for the managers of Bouquet to step up to greater roles and career advancement,” said Williams.

The new enterprise, yet to be named, will also manage the very popular Bouquet Restaurant located in Main Strasse — and a new venue to be opened in the new River Haus Apartments project under construction at 5th and Main Streets. That business will be called Spoon.

They will also design three more venues to be developed on the Plaza at the Towers of RiverCenter where Fire and Butler’s Pantry are located, “but first we will make sure we are cooking with Fire,“ said Arens.

The RiverCenter venues will get new menus, local food sourcing, fresh to table offerings, and healthy options will be tastefully and creatively prepared.
