NKY Chamber Women’s Initiative to host  ‘Connecting Shore to Shore’ women’s networking event


The Northern Kentucky Chamber Women’s Initiative, sponsored by PNC, will host Connecting Shore to Shore: Networking Up from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Monday, July 29.

The annual event, open exclusively to women, gathers professionals from all over the region for an evening of networking and professional development.

Women’s Initiative of the NKY Chamber started in 2008 and is the leading organization for women of all career stages to connect, grow, and achieve for business and professional success. The Women’s Initiative offers a continuum, of growth for women of all ages and all stages of their careers. 

 During the event, Nanette Polito, a local success coach, will give a brief presentation on the importance of “networking up.” 

“Too often, people get caught talking to the same people at networking events instead of making new contacts,” said Polito. “Who knows where your next big lead might come from?”

While networking with other professional women, attendees will have the opportunity to speak to representatives from a range of professional services companies, including Comey & Shepherd Realtors, HR Elements LLC, Wiseway Supply, Charles Schwab Northern Kentucky, Kings Island, Polaris Home Funding, Yankee Doodle Deli, Lula’s Catering, meetNKY. As they visit booths, attendees may stamp their passport to enter for a chance to win a pair of tickets from Ultimate Air Shuttle. 

“Shore to Shore is always a wonderful opportunity to meet other professional women, and focus on networking best practices, while giving back to a great organization,” said Sandi Hammons, Women’s Initiative Connect Hour Chair and Owner of Shared Wellness. 

In addition to networking, organizers will collect donations for the Transitions, Inc. The organization has provided long-term residential and intensive outpatient substance use disorder treatment, specifically for women, pregnant women, and their children, for 30 years. Women who receive treatment at Transitions are not only provided with top-notch treatment, they also receive information on health issues, parenting, domestic violence, housing, employment, and emotional health. 

Aloft at Newport on the Levee is located at 201 E. 3rd Street, in Newport.

Registration is required for Connecting Shore to Shore and is $20 for Northern Kentucky Chamber Members, $25 for future members, and $15 NKYP Passport Holders.
