Newport’s The Baker’s Table named one of the 16 Best New Restaurants in America by Eater.com

International foodie publication EATER.COM has featured Newport’s The Baker’s Table in its annual list of 16 Best New Restaurants in America.

The local daytime favorite was chosen above thousands of other new openings across the country for its “rustic American dishes, top-tier baking, and cozily eclectic dining room.”

To be recognized in the company of establishments from New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and San Francisco is a powerful statement about the progress and potential of the growing Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky food scene, as well a testament to the inspired food, drink, and service offered at the historic Monmouth Street spot.

The restaurant, which bakes 100% of its own bread and offers a rotating menu of seasonal and local ingredients, was opened in December 2018 by husband-and-wife-team Chef David Willocks and Designer Wendy Braun.

This Fall, look for the restaurant to make a move into dinner service — with a menu anchored by hand-made pasta dishes, and satisfying plates inspired by Italy, France and the American South.
