An early bird discount of $200 off tuition is currently through July 31st. Regular tuition is $2,325 per year. The institute offers an earn-while-you-learn model with programs in electric, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, facilities maintenance, and welding.

Classes start on early September 3 and continue through early April. Students attend classes two night per week from 6-9 p.m. for a total of 156 hours of instruction per year. Job placement assistance is provided.  The Enzweiler Building Institute provides an accelerated pathway to careers for students enrolled in licensed trades for electric, HVAC and plumbing.

Some programs articulate with Gateway Community and Technical College, providing students with college credit upon graduation from the Institute and passage of licensure exams.

Employer demand for the skilled trades taught at the Institute continue to outpace regional averages. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ May 2018 survey, the Cincinnati Mean Wages for trades taught at the Institute are:

Electric: $49,920

Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC): $48,180

Carpentry: $44,930

Plumbing: $52,710

Facilities Maintenance: $42,130

Welding: $39,070

In 2017, The Enzweiler Building Institute was awarded a grant through the Kentucky Work Ready Skills Initiative, providing much needed funds to add 6,300 square feet of training labs and campus renovations to its Boone County Campus. Campbell County locations will be opening for the 2020-2021 school year.

Dr. Vicki Berling, Director of Professional Development at Enzweiler Building Institute, said there are many exciting changes planned for the 2019-20 school year.

“We will be finishing the renovation of our existing classrooms to update our technology, facilities and lab capabilities for our electric, HVAC, plumbing and facilities maintenance programs. Then we will turn our attention to building a 6,300 square foot addition where we will house our carpentry, welding, masonry and diesel mechanics for construction programs. We will truly offer a state-of-the art learning environment, taught by our seasoned professionals who combined bring well over 100 years of experience in the skilled building trades to our schoo.”

Interested students should attend an open house to learn more about the programs offered. The open houses will be held on July 25th and August 8th at 6 p.m. Both will be held at the Enzweiler Building Institute at 2751 Circleport Drive, Erlanger, KY 41018.

The Enzweiler Building Institute is a recognized education provider for the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation and the Veterans Affairs Administration. The Kentucky Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction and Department of Labor recognize the Institute as an education producer for licensure training in plumbing, HVAC and electric. It is the longest running, continually operating private trade school operated under the auspices of NAHB.
